Should Women Lift Weights?

You may be wondering what to do if you are afraid to lift weights, even if you have 5 pounds more to lose to get to your ideal weight. Do you find yourself feeling intimidated or just plain scared to lift weights for fear of turning into the 'Incredible Hulk?'
I'm hear to tell you, forget about that myth! I have been in the fitness industry for over 15 years training women to reach their full fitness potential, and bulking up like the 'Incredible Hulk' will certainly not be a problem for you. It would take years and a lot of testosterone for women to achieve that look. Start now to put those bulky fears to rest. Plus, you and I both know that it's just not a good look for women.

Did you know that weight training has many benefits, especially for women?

Here are just a few:

1. Increase your strength with lifting weights. This helps in your daily routine such as lifting heavy objects at home or at work.
2. Build strong and healthy bones. Women are susceptible to osteoporosis as they age, a way to counter act this is by lifting weights.
3. Increase body definition. Increase lean muscle mass and look toned, especially in a bathing suit! What women does NOT want that? Toned muscles look good.
4. Increase you self image and confidence. This helps women feel better about themselves in other areas of their lives, even outside of bootcamp.
5. No bulking up. As mentioned above, don't worry about bulking up and looking like a guy. What a misconception! You would actually have to try very hard to get that look.

Lifting weights will give you the definition that every woman wants. So ladies, what are you waiting for? Get into one of Chandler Boot Camps for Women and start transforming your body into a lean mean fitness machine by incorporating some weights into your workout. Remember, no pastel weights allowed!
