Weight loss is one of the most, if not the most, popular New Year’s resolutions in the world. However, weight loss is a continual process and when women don’t see results immediately, it can seem like one of the hardest things in life to accomplish. But I’m here to say that losing weight and being fit and healthy doesn’t have to be an on-going chore.
Losing weight can be easy, but you can’t expect to lose 10 pounds overnight. Here are ways you can lose weight and be on your way to a healthy and fit lifestyle just in time for the New Year!
1. Commit to a goal: Set a realistic goal and decide how much weight you want to lose, don’t just say it. Write it down and tell your family and friends so you will be more likely to follow through.
2. Get Regular Exercise: You need to set aside time each day for exercise. Make it a habit, just like brushing your teeth. You do it everyday without fail. You don’t need to spend hours a day in a gym. Women are losing weight and toning up like never before in a one hour session of Body Envy Boot Camp. Women are fitting boot camp into their busy schedules with no excuses, and so can you.
3. Stay Hydrated! Drink water, and then drink more water! Water not only keeps you hydrated but allows your metabolism to work at a faster rate which helps you to burn more calories throughout the day.
4. Nutrition is a must! Start your day with a protein packed breakfast. A healthy breakfast will jump start your metabolism and boost your mental mood. Plus, a combined effort of clean eating and exercise will double your results of losing weight.
5. Have FUN while exercising: If you are exercising alone, it can sure get boring quickly. A great boredom buster is Body Envy Boot Camp – where women are working together and building a sense of camaraderie all while reaching their ultimate fitness goals. When you know people are expecting you to show up, you are more likely to follow through.
6. A Once a Week Cheat Meal is OK: You have to allow a cheat meal every once in a while. Don’t become too obsessed and strict, there’s no use in losing weight if you can’t maintain it. Enjoy an occasional cheat meal once in a while but then get right back to your menu plan and integrate that into your lifestyle for good.
You don't have to wait until New Year's to start your fitness resolution. Head over to Body Envy Boot Camp to see successful weight loss photos and stories of women who have changed their lifestyles for the better!
